Outdoor Adventures at Lake Eureka
Its Fun, But Please Be Careful
There are many things to see but some can be dangerous
Lake Eureka is a public use area with many outdoor places open to the public. It has some beautiful scenery but there are also areas where it would be easy to be injured. The falls area is a popular spot but it has areas with rock ledges that are over 30 to 40 ft in elevation with the landing at the bottom on jagged rocks. We often see children standing a little to close to the edge for our comfort and would like to ask parents to watch them closely.
Lake Eureka also has one of the best crops of Poison Ivy that ever grew on the planet. A person can't walk 5ft in the woods without encountering the noxious weed.
